Goodwill Hunting #03: Gen Z and the comeback of 90s & Y2K fashion
curated pre-loved fashion finds from across the web
Welcome to Goodwill Hunting!
Goodwill Hunting is a curated collection of pre-loved fashion finds.
This edition of Goodwill Hunting is inspired by Gen Z and vintage. According to TheRealReal’s 2022 Luxury Consignment Report, demand for vintage grew +118% year-over-year among Gen Z, which is growing faster than Millennials and other generations in adopting resale (+56% YoY on TRR). ThredUP reported a similar trend: in the next 5 years, more than half (53%) of these younger customers plan to shop more secondhand—the highest of any fashion retail channel (e.g, fast fashion, departments stores, rental).

Twig raises $35M Series A to turn stuff into cash (TechCrunch). Twig is a London-based startup dubbed “the bank of things”.
